Yoga has its beginnings in Hindu medicine. Originally, yoga was used to prepare people mentally and spiritually. During the 19th century, it started to be used in western medicine as well. However, it reached its popularity in the 1960s. Currently, yoga positions are being considered by professionals as a therapy to treat various conditions.
Yoga basics:

- Promotes good nutrition and good hygiene habits.
- Uses breathing and relaxation techniques to combat stress.
- Its ultimate goal is to achieve a clear mind and conscience.
How does Yoga work?
Changes the chemistry of the brain and tissues through relaxation. It reduces tension in the muscles. It changes the mood, attitude, and self-image. It helps deal with the problems of life.
When is Yoga used?
To combat stress, headaches, and depression. To improve circulation, asthma and bronchitis. It promotes general welfare.
Precautions:
Be extra cautious if you are pregnant or during menstruation. Consult your doctor before practicing yoga if you suffer from a medical condition.
