When the ear produces too much wax, a plug forms resulting in sounds in the ear, loss of balance, and hearing difficulty. Some home remedies for this ailment are presented below.
Tips to Remove Ear Wax Naturally:
Massage: Massage the area behind the ear in order to loosen the wax. After that, pull on the ear while closing and opening your mouth.
Olive oil: Put a few drops of warm olive oil in the ear and lie on the opposite side so that the oil stays in the affected ear for 15 minutes. Repeat the same procedure three times a day for two or three days.
Hot-water bottle: Fill a hot-water bottle with warm water and lie on it, with the affected ear against the bottle. The ear wax will begin to melt.
Hydrogen peroxide: As in the case of ear pain, hydrogen peroxide can also help remove the wax. Fill a dropper with warm peroxide and lie down so that the affected ear is exposed. Put the hydrogen peroxide in the ear. Wait three minutes and turn to the opposite side so that the liquid drains. Wash the ear using the dropper and warm water. You may also use baby, olive, or mineral oils instead of peroxide.
Clean your ears with a chamomile infusion: Several drops of olive oil, 1 handful of chamomile flowers, 1 cup of water. Prepare a chamomile infusion, strain, and let it cool. Put a few drops of warm olive oil in the affected ear. Wait 5 minutes. Using a pear shape syringe, rinse the ear with a bit of chamomile infusion.
Home Remedies to Relieve an Earache
Important: Never use sharp objects such as swabs, q-tips, or your finger to clean the ear. You could puncture the eardrum or push the wax plug deeper
