Rheumatoid arthritis is a type of arthritis that is more serious than osteoarthritis. It occurs when the immune system attacks the body instead of protecting it. In addition to joint pain, rheumatoid arthritis can cause fatigue and anemia.

Natural Remedies for Rheumatoid Arthritis:

Fish or flax seed oils – You can get these in capsules. The Omega-3 acids lessen inflammation and cartilage wear.

Warm Vinegar: Massage the affected area with warm vinegar before going to bed. It helps relieve rheumatoid arthritis pain.

Turmeric to relieve arthritis pain: Turmeric is an Oriental spice that can be found in most supermarkets on the spices aisle. Recent studies show that it may help alleviate rheumatoid arthritis pain. Dilute half a teaspoon of turmeric in a glass of hot water and drink twice a day.

Willow bark and harpagofito remedy for arthritis – 1/4 litre of water, 1 handful of willow bark, 1 handful of harpagofito. Boil for 10 minutes over low heat. Let stand 10 minutes and strain. Take three times a day before each meal.

Recommended diet for people who suffer from rheumatoid arthritis – Avoid sugar, reduce meat and animal fats, and substitute vinegar for lemon. Include plenty of fruits and vegetables in your diet.

Epsom salts to relieve rheumatoid arthritis – Add two handfuls of Epsom salts to the hot bath water. Soak for 15 minutes. The elderly and people with high blood pressure should not use this remedy.
